The first impression is really good. The console plays the familiar intro and takes you to an equally well-known game menu. Even then, we already shout “wow”, because the Saber studio responsible for the conversion did a real miracle here. No, the graphics aren’t razor sharp, but to tell you the truth, I expected it to be much worse. Meanwhile, what we’re seeing is the good old “The Witch”, but with a healthy trim: reduced resolution, limited rendering, and less draw range.

The first moments in Kaer Morhen and White Orchard are therefore very positive. It’s the same Witcher, with the same cutscenes, animations, dialogues, thread and open world. The sunsets are still pretty! The rays reflect off the guards, warheads and sword blades on our backs, the wind moves the trees, and the NPCs bustle in the villages. Everything is as old as it is and if you haven’t played The Witcher 3 game pc yet, and you don’t need a 50-inch. Screen or 4K at 60 frames per second, don’t even hesitate. The small screen of the console saves the situation – firstly. It is easier to accept the compromises, holding a small device in our hand that is unable to accommodate a full-size RTX. And secondly, our eye does not register as many idiosyncrasies and reading textures that can be seen on a larger screen.
