I honestly admit that Jagged Alliance 3 Free Download is for me a return to the series after many years of break. The last episode of the series that I had the opportunity to play was „two”, which had its premiere in 1999. The following episodes were completely absent from my life. Now I had the opportunity to play Jagged Alliance with 3 in the title before the premiere. How was my time?
Such a story
As for the plot, Jagged Alliance 3 full version don’t try to be original. During the game, we find ourselves in a fictional country called Big dog. Its president died under mysterious circumstances and during the “interregnum”, a paramilitary organization called the Legion took control of the country. It is easy to guess that not everyone was in favor of it, especially the family of the deceased, who are desperate to find out the truth about the death of the president, overthrow the Legion and regain power.
In order to achieve their goal, they seize the opportunities offered by the Adonis society, which brings together very different individuals, battle-hardened and fearless (till now, but more on that in a moment). ).
Traveling through the game world, we will meet family members on our way, but also the local community, with whom we can talk freely and interact in various ways. Many decisions we make during the game have a real impact on the development of the situation in the country. Sometimes we have to pay close attention to what the NPCs we meet are saying. Because a small detail can decide whether we accidentally sentence someone to death or let go of someone who will point a gun at us without batting an eyelid in a time.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, the plot is only a pretext to get into the game and face the opponents. For my part, this is absolutely not a complaint, because I personally like games in which I can focus only on combat tactics, without delving into the walls of text and thoughts about the meaning of life. The gameplay itself is enough to have a good time
By gameplay, I mean combat specifically, but let’s start at the beginning.

We are dealing here with a warrior search engine typical of the first parts of the series. Already at this stage we have to decide who to assign to the team. A shooter, a sniper, but also someone in charge of medical or technical issues will be useful. However, we cannot have it all because, as is often the case, we are limited by budget.
During the game itself, walking around the map, we can find resources that will help us replenish our team’s equipment. We will also come across side quests, because they are also part of it. But what impressed me the most was the combat.
The creators remained fully faithful to the series and created a turn-based combat system. With many elements that can be somewhat associated with the previous era. But they were implemented in such a way that I could not not tear myself away from the screen. Understanding how to approach the adversary, to stop killing my soldiers.
Each of the mercenaries we choose has individual abilities and characteristics. Some of them are very original. So it should come as no surprise to anyone that for a soldier in Deep Russia, the best way to lick his wounds will be a solid sip of cold vodka. Sometimes it’s definitely better to skip a few moves during your turn, but doing so will save your life. The level of difficulty is also a big plus for me. At the very beginning it seemed to me that it might be a little too simple, but after about two hours and having to load the latest save, the whole impression was lost.
Opponents very often took advantage of my weaknesses. They mainly attacked poorly protected or fallen soldiers without the possibility of concealment, while strongly separating from the shooter, who took a very well protected position with a wide field of vision.

What I really liked, which is not very common in games these days, are the negative effects that can completely ruin our plan. At some point, while performing one of the missions, I had the perfect plan. In my opinion, I placed the soldiers perfectly. A sniper in the rear, advancing infantry, and a sniper located in a building that can only be approached from the front. He had virtually everyone at gunpoint, so the enemy’s smooth maneuver allowed me to fire the rifle.
Unfortunately, somewhere one of the adversaries managed to sneak past enough to fire a burst of powerful machine gun fire at me. My hero was doing just fine, but he panicked, so he fled the building on the next turn, heading straight for the Legion member barrels.
Is it worth the wait?
Fortunately, I don’t have to. I have access to the early stages of the game, but am happy to go back to even the first major task and attack the enemy outpost. The creators have shown that after a series of certain failures, they have the opportunity to relaunch the brand, which will not be a comeback and by playing only on the emotions and nostalgia of the players.
Jagged Alliance 3 PC Download promises to be a solid title that you can spend a lot of time with and have a good time. I hope the whole match will keep the level of the early stages. I can’t wait for the full version. If, like me, you like tactical strategies with RPG elements and economy, which are kept in an old-fashioned climate, so wait with me.
