Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 faces high expectations for this reason, but after experiencing the game, I am certain of two things – fans of the first part will be thrilled, and PlayStation enthusiasts should hope for a quick port to PlayStation 5.

A sequel that provides understanding

This is no accident, as the writers at Ninja Theory have opted for a direct continuation – Senua is still on her path of revenge and makes a very difficult decision.

The Northmen kidnap the inhabitants of her village, so the heroine disguises herself as one of the victims, boards a boat, and ends up in a new world where she is treated worse than prey. Her journey is abruptly interrupted when the ship is destroyed, and Senua makes a harsh landing in the middle of a nightmare, where she fights not only against attackers but once again primarily with her own mind.

Ninja Theory has done something unexpected – the writers have crafted a truly well-written, surprising, and solidly presented story that is not only intriguing but also gives meaning to the events of the first Hellblade.

The sequel allows us to learn about three northern tribes, each with different approaches to reality, but regardless of where they live, they all fear mysterious beasts. The storyline of Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 was a very positive surprise for me, as this Microsoft production offers an interesting narrative that primarily answers many questions, even those related to the events of Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice.

Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 remains a completely linear experience, and although in some places we can stray off the path to listen to additional threads, I feel that the attractions are even more hidden this time, so players focus solely on the story during their first playthrough.

In a subsequent playthrough, we can even enable a new narrator, which only confirms that the developers want players to spend more hours in this world. However, the game’s length might be somewhat disappointing to some, as Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 can be completed in about 5-6 hours. It’s a short, but very intense experience.

Ninja Theory has not only expanded the story, providing the game with a full-fledged narrative that essentially bridges two productions, but also crafted brilliant combat encounters. Senua quickly grabs her sword, and the developers have harnessed the potential of the current generation to enhance not only the visual impact of the battles but, most importantly, their incredible intensity.

While playing Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 torrent pc, I wondered why other developers hadn’t thought of this before – our character engages in one-on-one combat, but immediately after killing an opponent, another enemy jumps at her, followed by another, and another. There’s no moment of respite, and the combat designers play with various events, throwing larger enemies at us, allowing us to witness others being murdered, and constantly maintaining an impressive level of dynamic action.

On paper, the gameplay remains quite simple, as Senua uses two types of attacks (strong and quick), can parry or dodge blows, and after charging her talisman, she can momentarily control time. Ultimately, the combat is somewhat formulaic. However, I cannot say that the fighting ever felt boring to me, because Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 review offers phenomenal action dynamics. It’s one of those games that you play with immense pleasure – even if you are seemingly performing very similar actions.

Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 is yet another Microsoft title that, at least at launch, runs at 30 frames per second. This quality doesn’t surprise me on the Xbox Series S (even on this platform, the game looks great!), but on the Xbox Series X?

The developers mention that this was their choice, but we’ve heard similar statements regarding other titles from the American corporation – and eventually, appropriate updates were released. What will be the case with Ninja Theory’s game? Time will tell, but throughout the entire story, I didn’t encounter even the slightest error or any issues with animation fluidity.

In every respect, Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 free download is a better game than the first part. We can no longer talk about a major surprise concerning the main character’s psychosis, but the voices in her head once again torment her and play a significant role in the entire production, affecting the experience.

• Phenomenal Melina Jürgens. The actress conveys a wealth of emotions on screen.
• A showcase of the graphical capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. It’s the most beautiful game in Xbox Series X history.
• Sound makes a difference. The voices in the protagonist’s head and the surrounding environment provide incredible emotions.
• Intense combat encounters that don’t allow you to catch your breath. The creators positively surprise in this aspect.

Weaknesses of the Game

• The game ends 3-4 hours too soon.
• Puzzles are not on par with the rest of the game elements.
