The action of the production takes place in The Lands Between, divided into six realms. I admit that when I opened the door to the starting crypt and saw the enormity of the world. And the absence of the usual limitations to visit it. My brain gently crashed and I started spinning in circles. Fortunately, that feeling passed quickly, and soon after, I felt much more at home in this world.
Elden Ring is currently one of the most anticipated premieres of this year. FromSoftware, famous for its Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Demon Souls series, has proven for years that it can even present a seamless formula in an attractive and still hellishly playable way. If the game will live up to the hopes placed in it, we will find out on February 25. The developers have assured that they do not foresee any further delays, the game is already in the Master version and the developers are working on a Day One patch.

We can face a warrior trapped in a magic circle. We sometimes “trigger” these challenges, and other times we may encounter them simply by exploring. On the horizon, however, there is a central location – a gigantic castle, towards which we are directed by all the signs of heaven and earth. This castle is something like a separate area and you cannot use the mount there (it is also locked in other smaller dungeons).
Is the passage of the day important for the game?
Time flows naturally in Elden Ring Free download – we even have a clock on the map that tells you the time of day. Weather conditions can also change, for example when it is raining or overcast. While gameplay was unaffected by atmospheric effects, several things were affected by the time of day. At night, some beasts were more active – for example, flying gargoyles quickly patrolled the area, while during the day they clung to walls and rocks.
After dusk, I also found a mighty dark knight on one of the bridges, which looked a bit like the Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings movie. During the day, an “ordinary” wetboy on a mount roamed the area. I suspect there are more such changes, but it will have to be tested in the full version. The aesthetic aspect of the passage of time is one more thing: finally, in FromSoftware we can witness impressionistic sunsets and sunrises, when the sky, as promised by one of the trailers, literally turns red.
How is the horse?
The mount in Download Elden Ring is unlocked after a dozen minutes of play and probably visits three places of grace. You summon him in no time by holding down the pad button – the character immediately jumps onto his back and we can continue on our way. Our traveling companion is very mobile, he can accelerate and also perform a double jump. He also has a health and stamina bar, so you have to take care of him by giving him rowan stew, among other things. In short, I would say that I have no major objections to its behavior, and the gameplay itself is very fluid.
Isn’t horseback fighting rude?
The fight in the saddle is pleasant, although chaotic, because we often circle around the opponent. While driving, we can perform a strong and weak blow to the left or right side, as well as accelerate or jump. There are therefore quite a few tactical possibilities and I must admit that confrontations of this type were satisfactory, even too easy. For the record, I just want to add that every mount in the game has a health bar, so we can be knocked off the saddle, as well as do the same with the opponent.
Can you kill yourself by falling from a height?
Fall damage occurs in Elden Ring pc game, and you can actually kill yourself when you try to jump from too great a height. It is interesting, however, that our mount can withstand more, so sometimes you can perform impressive stunts with it. The game is geared towards this, as I saw a few places that weren’t obvious to reach, but after a few tries I got it right. Does the game now look like the new “Assassins”? What sandbox would you compare it to?
The game is definitely not like “Assassins”, although some commonalities would be found. The main element that FromSoftware probably wanted to avoid is the overabundance of attractions. There are several, but in the game we have more space for easier exploration than hunting for other collectibles. There’s even less UI to obscure exploration, more for the adventure itself.
